WHY DO WE LOVE VEGAN CREAM CHEESE?

When we decided to go vegan, we’ve heard all over social media groups that the hardest thing to give up or to replace is cheese. To  be honest we do miss cream cheese, but not anymore we have you covered! First thing first , we want to be straight with you, this “vegan cream cheese” recipe is not going to fool anyone thinking is real cream cheese. However that doesn’t mean its not delicious or creamy, even better is oil free and full of nutritious ingredients. In other words, claiming that is a really mouthwatering bagel spread it is not a lie!

HOW DO YOU MAKE VEGAN CREAM CHEESE?

Now let’s dive into the making process of this tasty spread aka “vegan cream cheese”. Most importantly, all you need is a food processor and 5 minutes (after soaking). For a really creamy consistency we strongly recommend to soak the cashew nuts one night before. However if you want to speed up the process and make a quick snack, you can soak them in hot water for 30-45 minutes. But the mixture won’t be as creamy so you don’t want to skip the soaking overnight step.

You can create a whole range of flavors by adding more twist to it. In addition, few ideas that we have tried is to add ingredients like dill, chives and onions, spicy jalapenos, lemon zest or even sun-dried tomatoes. This is to say that you can take this cream cheese to a whole new level and the real one shall not be missed.
